Solutions for all roof designs
Calculated, continuous, unimpeded passive ventilation is a critical ingredient in the essential ventilation of a building. Using tried and tested international proven best practice, VENT Airflow calculations are determined by the pitch and type of roof.
Recommended airflow is determined according to the pitch and the type of roof:
- Trussed Roof Pitches >15° require a calculated airflow of 10,000mm² per linear metre
- Trussed Roof Pitches >30° require a calculated airflow of 10,000mm² per linear metre
- Trussed Roof Pitches <15° require a calculated airflow of 25,000mm² per linear metre
- Skillion Roof Pitches any degree pitch require a calculated airflow of 25,000mm² per linear metre
Mono Pitch Skillion, any degree pitch
Roof Ventilation option using the Over Fascia Ventilator (G2500N), Vented Batten (VB20), Apron Vent (AB20/DT) and Eaves Comb Filler (G1275) is also fixed as shown to prevent bird ingress and nesting insects.
This system will provide the recommended continuous airflow of 25,000mm2 per lin/m.
Pitched Skillion Roof, any degree pitch
Roof Ventilation option using the Over Fascia Ventilator (G2500N), Vented Batten (VB20), Ridge Vent (RV10P/DT) and Eaves Comb Filler (G1275) is also fixed as shown to prevent bird ingress and nesting insects.
This system will provide the recommended continuous airflow of 25,000mm2 per lin/m.
Trussed Roof Pitch <15°
Roof Ventilation option using the Over Fascia Vent (G2500N), Roll Panel Vent (G502) and Eaves Comb Filler (G1275) is also fixed as shown to prevent bird ingress and nesting insects.
This system will provide the recommended continuous airflow of 25,000mm2 per lin/m.
Trussed Roof Pitch >30°
Roof Ventilation option using the Over Fascia Vent (G1200N), Roll Panel Vent (G502), Ridge Vent (RV10P/DT) and Eaves Comb Filler (G1275) is also fixed as shown to prevent bird ingress and nesting insects.
This system will provide the recommended continuous airflow of 10,000mm2 per lin/m.
Trussed Roof Pitch 15 ° – 30°
Roof Ventilation option using the Over Fascia Vent (G1200N), Roll Panel Vent (G502) and Eaves Comb Filler (G1275) is also fixed as shown to prevent bird ingress and nesting insects.
This roof pitch design of 15º – 30º requires a continuous cross airflow of 10,000mm2 per lin/m at eaves level but no Ridge Vent unless the span is over 10m.
Trussed Mono Pitch roof
Roof Ventilation option using the Over Fascia Ventilator (G2500N or G1200N), Vented Batten (VB20), Apron Vent (AB20/DT) and Eaves Comb Filler (G1275) is also fixed as shown to prevent bird ingress and nesting insects.
For roof pitches 15°-30°, apply the G1200N This system will provide the recommended continuous airflow of 10,000mm2 per lin/m.
For roof pitches <15°, apply the G2500N This system will provide the recommended continuous airflow of 25,000mm2 per lin/m.
